President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. John Beer Magufuli, today on February 17, 2017 has met with Vice President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) energy affairs Mr. Amadou Hott, who is here in the country for talks with experts and officials aimed at improving the energy industry, particularly the production of electricity.
Mr. Amadou Hott has come in as the implementation of the negotiations held between the Hon. Magufuli President and Mr President of AfDB. Akinwumi Adesina in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia on January 31, 2017 where leaders agreed to increase cooperation between the AfDB and Tanzania in development with emphasis on tilted find the solutions to increase electricity generation and cost-effective.
Mr. Amadou Hott has expressed commitment to react to the Hon. President Magufuli on increasing the production of electricity and the cost-effective for achieving various development programs, including the construction industry, and has promised that the Bank would ensure the mission succeeds.
By his side Hon. Magufuli has assured Mr. President. Amadou Hott that the Government of Tanzania is ready to cooperate whenever circumstances so require in order to achieve that commitment.
Meanwhile, Hon. Magufuli President has met with founder and chairman of Bharti Enterprises owns a number of Airtel World Mr. Sunil Bharti Mittal where leaders have discussed the functioning of the phone company Airtel Tanzania Tanzania which government owns 40 percent of the company's shares.
After the talks, Mr. Sunil Bharti Mittal has expressed its readiness to inject company Airtel Tanzania in the stock market of Dar es Salaam that Tanzania could have the opportunity to own the company by buying shares.
In other action, the Hon. Magufuli has met with the President to hold talks with the Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the country Hon. Jean Pierre Mutamba Tshampanga White House in Dar es Salaam.
